Jonny Rocket, affectionately known as "Jonny," passed away on April 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by humor, wisdom, and a life well lived. Born on January 1, 1936, in Prov, Jonny grew up to become a dedicated electrician, a profession in which he took great pride throughout his career.

A graduate of Wyoming High School, Jonny was also a proud veteran who served honorably in the United States Coast Guard. His service to his country added a layer of discipline and commitment to a character best remembered for his quick wit and wise-ass humor.

Jonny’s personality was as vibrant as his life, often bringing laughter to those around him with his sharp humor and lively spirit. He was deeply passionate about fishing and golfing, activities that not only brought him joy but also close connections with nature and friends alike. In addition to these hobbies, Jonny was an active member of the Elks, where he fostered camaraderie and community involvement.

He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Patty; his sons, James and his wife Denise, and Eddie and his wife Janice; and his daughter, Penelope, along with her partner Jane. The family also remembers Ronnie Rocket, who preceded Jonny in death.

Funeral services to honor Jonny's life will begin with visitation on April 23, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Tukios, located at 2326 E Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah. The funeral service will follow on April 24, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Later that day, a Mass will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 4461 S Nichols Hwy, Galivants Ferry, South Carolina, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Jonny’s presence will be deeply missed, but his humor, wisdom, and the memories of a life enriched by family, service, and the simple pleasures of fishing and golf will continue to resonate with all who knew him. His journey may have ended, but the impact of his life remains enduring and profound.
