Raymond Mitchell, born on April 26, 1939, passed away on February 10, 2024. A long life he lived, and many accomplishments did he achieve. Twenty years he served in the United States Army, a Colonel he became. Bravery in combat he showed, earning both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart during the Gulf War.

Mourned he will be by all who knew him. Gathered they shall, to honor his memory at Sonzini Mortuary in Columbia, South Carolina. A Viewing will take place on February 22, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. His Funeral Service follows on February 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM, concluding at the same location by noon.

In peace, later he will rest. On May 21, 2025, his burial shall occur at Cypress Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Colma, California, at 6:45 AM, the stars guiding him to his final resting place.

Cherished by those left behind, his legacy lives on. Remember him we shall, with gratitude for his service, and love for the light he brought into this galaxy.
